Camera Play-Pets

I'm trying to become familiar with my camera's f-stops as it relates to depths of field, with the ISO at the automatic setting. I am using my Canon EOS Rebel t2i and an

18-55mm lens. Working with animals is a bit of a challenge since my subjects can't seem to stay in one place for long... except for the cat. Some of the outside pictures were taken on a cloudy day and the others on a sunny afternoon. I'm still looking for more "definition" in my pictures.

This is NOT a pet but a romantic couple I recently found in the front yard early one morning. I believe they are Box Turtles. I will see these two around the property until about early December.
